One of Gradient's rarest products, the Gradient 3.0, was designed according to the same principles as the earlier Gradient 1.0 - 1.3 and 2.0 - 2.3 models. The speaker was only manufactured in 1991–1992.
Due to its larger enclosure design, the bass extension reached very low frequencies. The speaker featured a mechanical tweeter level adjustment: by tilting the tweeter array, the level of the highest frequencies could be easily adjusted to suit the room and listening preferences.
